Furnace Glassblowing Fundamentals

Service Description

This fun and exciting hands-on workshop is designed to give participants a solid foundation of basic glassblowing techniques. Safety, tool functions and the core principles of manipulating glass will be explored. A member of our trained staff will demonstrate the basics of gathering glass from the furnace and creating simple forms, then assist each participant to create their own finished piece that they get to keep. No glassworking experience is required. This is a true "hot glass" experience.Be sure to hydrate before and during the workshop, wear close toed shoes and wear natural fiber clothing. What to bring Closed-toed shoes Cotton clothing is recommended (no synthetic clothing) No loose, hanging jewelry Long hair should be tied back or under a cap

Cancellation Policy

We strive hard to be flexible with cancellations and rescheduling. If you cannot make an appointment ,please call 850 865 7867. Cancellations will be rescheduled or issued a gift certificate for a future class. No shows or same day cancellations with not be refunded or offered a credit. Please understand our studio incurs costs prepping for workshops prior to the event (ie heating the furnace ect). 24 hour notice is required for cancellations
