Owner, instructor, and artist Brit Deslonde began her journey in glass in 2007. Her love for detailed flamework and artistic vision led her to establish her own company, specializing in commissioned pieces, sculpture, and mixed media art. Captivated by how glass can capture light and movement, her creations draw inspiration from nature, water, and the fluidity of abstract lines.

Brit honed her skills through training at various glass studios and an eight-year apprenticeship with Russ Gilbert, owner of Fusion Art Glass. This experience allowed her to master large-scale furnace work, flameworking, and warm glass techniques.

​As the owner and an instructor at Glass Deer, Brit shares her experience in all three glassmaking disciplines through hands-on classes. She also creates sculptural glass, and her work has been showcased in galleries and museums across the country.
